Councilman calls on colleagues to bring a new idea to the table next month
Lansdale Borough Manager John Ernst, acting Police Chief Ryan Devlin, and all borough engineers and solicitor were reappointed in unanimous votes by council Monday night.
Ernst was nominated by Councilman Andrew Carroll and Councilwoman Mary Fuller.
“I admire his leadership, I admire how dedicated he is to borough Lansdale – I think that's one of his strongest attributes,” Fuller said. “I know that he deeply cares and will listen to everybody on the council. I have the utmost confidence in his leadership over the next over the term of the contract.”
Patrick Hitchens of Sean Kilkenny Law Office was re-appointed solicitor. The firm of Eckert Seamans was reappointed as labor counsel.
Christopher Fazio of Remington & Vernick Engineers was renamed as borough engineer, and Earl Armitage of Pennoni Associates remains traffic engineer for Lansdale.
Before adjournment, Carroll offered his colleagues some homework – bring a new idea to the table.
“If we're going to make change, let's do it. Let's start a list. Let's get a whiteboard. Let's get something going. Let's work together. Let’s not work against each other, all right?” he said. “So, I'll bring mine, if you guys bring yours here next month.”
