Four fire agencies responded and rescued occupants from heavily damaged vehicles in a crash that shut down a stretch of Minsi Trail in Hilltown Township
Emergency crews from four area fire companies were dispatched to the 800 block of Minsi Trail, between Forest and Quarry roads in Hilltown Township Thursday afternoon, where two vehicles collided and sustained significant damage.
The roadway remained closed Thursday afternoon as first responders worked the scene.
According to initial reports, one person was removed from each vehicle.
A gold SUV lost a wheel in the crash, overturned onto its side and was leaking fluids, with severe front-end damage.
A black sedan ended up in a ditch off the roadway and sustained heavy damage to the driver’s side and front end, appearing crushed inward from the impact.
Firefighters from Dublin Fire Co., Perkasie Fire Co., Silverdale Fire Co., and Sellersville Fire Co. responded, along with Chal-Brit EMS.
The extent of injuries has not yet been released.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area as crews continue operations and assess the scene. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
