A Perkasie man, sentenced to anger management two years ago, is in Bucks County Prison after police said he stabbed another man multiple times during a dispute Wednesday afternoon over a tobacco vape device.
Perkasie Police were dispatched to a reported stabbing at 50 Fairview Ave. at about 12:10 p.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male victim who reported he had been attacked by Alexander Harskuti, 21, following an argument.
According to police, the victim told officers Harskuti struck him with a pair of hair clippers before retrieving a screwdriver and stabbing him multiple times in the upper back as the victim attempted to flee.
The victim was transported to St. Luke’s Grand View Hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening stab wounds and several broken ribs, police said.
Authorities said Harskuti fled the scene and was later located at Drunkenmiller Park in Sellersville. Police reported that Harskuti contacted headquarters to self-report the incident. He was taken into custody without incident.
Harskuti was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage and charged with aggravated assault, and misdemeanor counts of possessing instruments of crime, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and stalking.
He remains jailed on 10% of $300,000 cash bail, per court records. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage, who will also judge the preliminary hearing scheduled for March 10.
The investigation remains ongoing.
According to public court records, Harskuti was sentenced to 90 days of probation in July 2024 for pleading guilty to summary charges of harassment and disorderly conduct by fighting, as well as anger management and drug and alcohol treatment.
