During a search incident to arrest, officers reported finding a glass pipe with burnt residue and 15 small plastic vials in Washington’s pockets
A Philadelphia man is facing multiple charges after police said he exposed himself in broad daylight near the Boys & Girls Club in Lansdale Borough and was later found in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
Antoine M. Washington, 46, of the 3300 block of North Gratz Street, was charged Friday with indecent exposure, open lewdness, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, according to a criminal complaint filed by Lansdale Police.
Police were dispatched at 11:24 a.m. to the rear of 210 W. Main St. for a report of a man taking his clothes off and talking to himself, according to the affidavit.
A witness told officers she observed Washington with his pants down to the ground and his boxers pulled to mid-thigh while making a “stroking motion” near his genitals, per the complaint.
The incident allegedly occurred in a rear parking lot directly facing the Boys & Girls Club during daytime hours with heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the area.
Responding officers located Washington walking in the 100 block of West Main Street. Police alleged he appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance, was yelling, fidgeting, screaming at traffic and making aggressive gestures toward vehicles. Authorities also confirmed he had active warrants at the time of the encounter.
During a search incident to arrest, officers reported finding a glass pipe with burnt residue and 15 small plastic vials in Washington’s pockets. Eleven of the vials allegedly contained an off-white crystal-like substance consistent with methamphetamine, while four contained residue, according to the affidavit.
Police noted the suspected methamphetamine was not field-tested but was identified based on officers’ training and experience, a policy adopted for officer safety due to dangers of methamphetamine.
Washington was arraigned on misdemeanor and summary charges in connection with the incident. He is jailed on $277 cash bail, which includes a parole/probation detainer, set at a county bail hearing this week, according to court documents. A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 25 before Magisterial District Judge Ed Levine.
In March 2025, Washington was sentenced to six to 14 months in Montgomery County jail after pleading guilty to misdemeanor terroristic threats and criminal mischief from a Bridgeport Borough arrest, according to court records.
Court records in Pennsylvania also show seven inactive cases involving Washington as a defendant: Five non-traffic offenses and two traffic cases.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
