Eagles' practice facility gets a new title, as Jefferson Health secures naming rights

For the first time since it was constructed in 2001, the Eagles practice and training facility in South Philadelphia has a new name. 

It has been rechristened as the Jefferson Health Training Complex after the Eagles announced a new partnership on Tuesday.

In a sweeping expansion of two of their most enduring corporate relationships, the Eagles announced multi-year extensions with both Jefferson Health and Select Medical’s NovaCare Rehabilitation brand, uniting the institutions under a renewed commitment to player performance and community well-being across the Delaware Valley, although Jefferson now has the corporate naming rights to the facility.

The name change marks a significant milestone in a partnership that has steadily evolved over the years. Jefferson will also continue serving as the patch sponsor on the team’s practice jerseys, keeping its presence stitched into the daily fabric of Eagles football.

NovaCare Rehabilitation, meanwhile, remains the team’s Official Physical Therapy Partner, continuing a relationship that stretches back more than a quarter-century.

For Eagles president Don Smolenski, the extensions represent more than signage or sponsorship placements. They reflect a shared civic identity.

“The longstanding partnership between the Eagles and Jefferson Health has been built on a shared commitment to the region we serve,” Smolenski said in a statement. “This multi-year extension marks a defining moment in our partnership — one that will now call the Jefferson Health Training Complex home to the Philadelphia Eagles.”

The facility itself is a nerve center of the organization. It houses state-of-the-art weight rooms, meeting spaces, a draft room, practice fields, office space and serves as the annual site of Eagles Training Camp. 

By placing Jefferson’s name on the building, the Eagles are aligning their performance headquarters with one of the region’s largest healthcare systems.

Jefferson Health CEO Dr. Joseph G. Cacchione emphasized the broader purpose behind the partnership.

“Jefferson Health is proud to stand alongside the Eagles in a partnership that reflects our shared mission to improve lives,” Cacchione said in a statement. “This partnership represents our commitment to advancing health, wellness, and access for the communities we serve every day.”

That mission extends far beyond the practice fields.

As Official Health System Partner, Jefferson Health will collaborate with the Eagles on year-round community initiatives focused on health education, screenings and preventive care awareness. Those efforts will align with cornerstone team programs such as the Eagles Autism Foundation and the NFL’s “Crucial Catch: Intercept Cancer” campaign.

The expanded collaboration casts a wide geographic net, touching fans and families from Greater Philadelphia to the Lehigh Valley and South Jersey. It underscores an increasingly integrated model in which professional sports franchises serve as civic platforms for public health messaging and access to care.

NovaCare’s continued involvement reinforces that approach from a performance and rehabilitation standpoint. The brand has worked alongside the Eagles for more than 25 years, providing physical therapy expertise for both players and members of the broader community who rely on its services across the Delaware Valley.

“This new multi-year deal, with one of our longest-tenured founding partners, will now carry us into the future for years to come,” Smolenski said, highlighting NovaCare’s longevity with the franchise.

Ray Pennacchia, Senior Vice President of NovaCare Rehabilitation, described the renewal as an extension of trust built over decades.

“We are proud to continue our longstanding founding partner relationship with the Philadelphia Eagles, an organization that shares our passion for excellence and creating unforgettable fan experiences,” Pennacchia said in a statement. “This renewed agreement builds on 25 years of trust and performance.”

NovaCare’s presence will also be woven into fan engagement across digital platforms, including sweepstakes, postgame locker room content, gameday notifications and digital advertising. The brand will maintain its support of community initiatives, including those spearheaded by the Eagles Autism Foundation.
