A Sunday afternoon dwelling fire in Hilltown Township, Bucks County was contained to an attached garage thanks to a rapid response from area fire companies, Dublin Volunteer Fire Company officials said.

Firefighters placed a handline in service while additional command officers requested a tanker task force due to a lack of hydrants in the area. Multiple departments responded after the fire was confirmed as a working incident.

Officials said the fire was brought under control within about an hour, with minimal damage reported to the interior of the home.

No injuries were reported.

Assisting departments included Silverdale Volunteer Fire Co., Perkasie Fire Company No. 1, Sellersville Volunteer Fire Department, Chalfont Fire Company, Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company, Point Pleasant Vol. Fire Co., Doylestown Fire Company No. 1, Palisades Regional Fire Rescue, and Haycock Fire Company #1.

The Bucks County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
