Keystone Opportunity Center has restarted its Fresh for All produce distribution program after a brief pause in January caused by supply chain issues, the Souderton-based nonprofit announced.
Fresh for All typically assists more than 500 families, reaching over 2,000 individuals throughout Montgomery and Bucks counties. Each month, the program distributes about 800 boxes of fresh produce to households experiencing food insecurity.
The program resumed Feb. 10 and will now operate every other Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. until supplies are gone, continuing through May 19. Distributions will take place rain or shine, with cancellations only in cases of severe weather. Scheduled dates include Feb. 10, Feb. 24, March 10, March 24, April 7, April 21, May 5 and May 19. All distributions are held at Grace Bible Church, 423 Main St., Souderton.
Fresh for All provides participating households with 20 to 30 pounds of fruits and vegetables at no cost. The distribution site is located at the corner of Main Street and Summit Avenue, across from Wawa.
For updates on weather-related cancellations, residents can call 215-723-5430, ext. 221, or follow Keystone Opportunity Center on social media.
Keystone Opportunity Center also encourages community members to support the effort through donations and volunteer work. Contributions may include monetary donations, fresh produce, organized produce drives, or helping with sorting and distribution.
Those interested in getting involved can contact Kyle Foster at 215-723-5430 or [email protected]. Donations may be delivered to Keystone Opportunity Center at 104 N. Main St., Souderton.
