Phoenixville Area Community Services, a lead resource for food security in the Phoenixville area, proudly announces that its President, Mary Fuller, has been named the first place recipient of the 2026 Greater Philadelphia Social Innovations Award for Healthy Food Access and Nutrition. More than 250 nominations were submitted.
Presented annually, the Greater Philadelphia Social Innovations Award recognizes leaders whose visionary approaches and measurable impact address pressing social challenges. Fuller was honored for her innovative leadership, commitment to equity, and transformative contributions to expanding access to nutritious food for individuals and families throughout the community.
“This recognition belongs to our dedicated staff, partners, volunteers, and the communities we serve,” said Fuller. “Together, we’re proving that bold, people‑centered solutions can create lasting change.”
Under Fuller’s leadership, PACS has achieved key milestones including expanding PACS’ warehouse and refrigeration to store more fresh food, growing the retail rescue of food in the area, and partnering with more than 30 agencies over time to support the community. These efforts have strengthened the regional hunger‑relief network while advancing long‑term solutions to food insecurity.
“This award reflects Mary’s ability to pair strategic thinking with deep compassion, driving meaningful outcomes for our region,” said Sue Starling PACS Board Chair. “Her leadership has strengthened our organization and advanced our mission to address hunger with dignity, innovation, and care.”
The 2026 Greater Philadelphia Social Innovations Award was formally presented on January 29th. Award recipients represent a diverse group of social impact leaders whose work is shaping a more resilient, inclusive Philadelphia region.
