Abstrakt Marketing Group Hosts 8th Annual Give Back Day, Strengthening Its Year-Round Commitment to Service
More than 450 employees participated in one of the city’s largest corporate volunteer initiatives
ST. LOUIS, Mo. — For one day each year, Abstrakt Marketing Group sets aside business goals to focus on something even more important: giving back to the St. Louis community. The company celebrated its 8th Annual Give Back Day in August 2025, uniting more than 450 employees who volunteered over 3,000 hours at 28 nonprofit organizations across the St. Louis region.
Abstrakt Marketing Group is a national business growth company that helps organizations scale through lead generation, marketing, and sales solutions. Beyond driving results for clients, the company believes success should also create value for the communities it serves. That commitment to service has become a defining part of Abstrakt’s culture, shaping how it builds teams, develops partnerships, and measures impact.
What began eight years ago has grown into one of the largest corporate service events in St. Louis. Give Back Day started with a handful of employees and a few nonprofit partners. Today, it represents Abstrakt’s spirit of compassion, teamwork, and long-term community partnership.
“Give Back Day is about more than volunteering,” said Danny Beene, Director of Employee Engagement and Corporate Culture. “It’s about building relationships, strengthening our community, and showing up where we are needed most. We are proud of the lasting impact our team can make together.”
Each year, Abstrakt employees take part in projects supporting causes such as youth mentorship, food security, animal welfare, and neighborhood revitalization. The goal is to create visible, meaningful change in a single day while building connections that last long after the event ends.
One standout project during the 2025 event took place at a youth mentorship center in North St. Louis. Volunteers transformed an underused outdoor area into a safe and functional space by clearing debris, rebuilding garden beds, and repainting fencing. By the end of the day, what had once been a neglected lot became a welcoming environment for students. The nonprofit’s leaders shared that the work would have taken months to complete without outside help.
Each project is chosen based on a few guiding principles: diversity of impact, proximity to maximize volunteer time, and the opportunity to make a tangible difference in one day. Abstrakt also prioritizes organizations that offer long-term partnership potential, ensuring the relationships built through Give Back Day continue throughout the year.
While Give Back Day is a cornerstone of Abstrakt’s community engagement, it is far from the only effort. The company provides every employee with eight hours of paid volunteer time each year, giving team members the flexibility to support causes that matter personally to them.
This approach sustains year-round involvement and encourages employees to become ambassadors for the organizations they serve. Many who volunteer during Give Back Day return to those same nonprofits on their own time, continuing to give back throughout the year.
“People feel proud to work for a company that invests in more than revenue,” said Grace Jacquot, Director of PR and Communication. “It strengthens morale and brings people together in a meaningful way.”
Abstrakt’s model has cultivated a culture of leadership and ownership, where employees regularly organize smaller volunteer outings and community projects. It has also strengthened relationships with local organizations that rely heavily on volunteer labor to operate.
Abstrakt measures the success of Give Back Day not only through numbers but also through relationships. The company tracks volunteer participation, total hours, and the number of nonprofit partners supported. It also looks beyond metrics to assess how the experience strengthens internal culture, builds community trust, and inspires lasting service.
“One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that impact often shows up in ways we don’t expect,” Jacquot said. “Team members are often placed at nonprofits they have never worked with before and end up deeply moved by the mission. Many return to volunteer again, and those experiences change people.”
There have also been countless moments of unexpected joy. Over the years, employees volunteering at local animal shelters have adopted dogs and cats they met on Give Back Day. These spontaneous acts of kindness have become a lighthearted but powerful reminder of how service can transform lives in surprising ways.
The 2025 Give Back Day brought Abstrakt volunteers to 24 nonprofits across the St. Louis region, including organizations such as Doorways, Girls Inc., NAMI STL, Boys and Girls Club, and Gateway Pet Guardians. Teams supported a wide range of causes, from youth mentorship and mental health to animal rescue and community revitalization.
In addition to hands-on projects, Abstrakt partnered with local businesses whose in-kind and monetary donations supplied materials, food, and resources that helped power the day’s success and kept volunteers energized to serve.
As Abstrakt continues to expand its business and national reach, its leadership is also evolving its community initiatives. The company recently launched the Abstrakt Arts Foundation and opened ArtFusion, a gallery designed to celebrate local artists, host community events, and strengthen St. Louis’ creative economy. These programs reflect a growing commitment to connecting business success with community investment.
Looking ahead, Abstrakt plans to expand its Give Back Day initiative by adding specialized volunteer tracks, deepening partnerships with local nonprofits, and inviting clients and business partners to join future events.
“Our vision is simple,” Jacquot said. “As Abstrakt grows, our ability to uplift others should grow with us. We want to build an ecosystem of service, creativity, and long-term partnership that continues to expand year after year.”
Since its launch, Give Back Day has become one of the region’s largest single-day volunteer events led by a private company. The annual tradition reflects Abstrakt’s unwavering commitment to community impact and shows that true success is measured not only by business growth but by the positive change created along the way.
