Manna on Main Street’s annual Race to End Hunger will be held Saturday, April 25, featuring a variety of fun-filled activities for people of all ages, while raising funds for Manna’s critical work to end hunger in the greater North Penn region of Montgomery County. This year marks the 15th anniversary of Manna’s Race to End Hunger.
Manna’s Race to End Hunger includes professionally chip timed 10K and 5K races, as well as a Fun Run that is approximately 1 mile. The races begin at 8:15am at Knapp Elementary School in Lansdale. People of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate, including people with strollers and dogs on leashes.
Over 450 people have already registered for the event.
People can register for the 10K, 5K, and Fun Run by visiting mannaonmain.org/rteh until race day. Onsite registration will be available at 7am on race day.
“Over the past year, Manna has seen a significant increase in the number of people needing our services,” said race director Patty Mark. “Once again, our community has stepped up to meet the moment, ensuring that Manna can continue to serve our neighbors with dignity. This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate the 15th anniversary of Manna’s Race to End Hunger. Together, we celebrate all that we’ve accomplished while raising the vital funds needed to continue this work.”
Food and beverages will be provided at the finish line by Backyard Beans, Wawa, Wegmans, Whole Foods and other local partners. North Penn Harmony will sing the National Anthem. Dozens of community volunteers will support the race, including by cheering for participants on the race course. There are over 65 race sponsors.
