Emergency crews responded to a crash involving an overturned vehicle Tuesday night at the busy Five Points intersection in Montgomery Township.
The incident was reported around 8:29 p.m. near 728 Bethlehem Pike, at the intersection of Routes 202, 309 and 463, near Tobacco Hut. Initial reports indicated a white Subaru crossover on its side with possible entrapment and two occupants inside, prompting a rescue response.
First responders from the Fire Department of Montgomery Township, Colmar Fire Company, Montgomery Township Police and VMSC Emergency Medical Services arrived to find one male occupant had already exited the vehicle.
A female occupant remained inside and required assistance from firefighters to be removed safely, per reports from the scene.
The female was placed on a stretcher and evaluated inside an ambulance at the scene. The male occupant remained on site and was being evaluated by police, including what appeared to be field sobriety testing.
Traffic along Route 309 southbound in the area of the Five Points intersection was impacted as crews worked the scene.
The incident was cleared within about 40 minutes, with units clearing by approximately 9:11 p.m.
