Hedwig House will receive $250,000 in state funding to support its mental health programs in Montgomery County, according to an announcement from state Reps. Steve Malagari and Ben Sanchez.
The funding, provided through the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, will help the organization continue delivering services to adults living with mental illness. Hedwig House has been serving the community since 1975, offering programs focused on psychiatric rehabilitation, housing support and employment assistance.
Malagari said the organization plays a critical role in helping individuals regain independence by connecting them with essential resources. Sanchez added that the funding reflects a broader commitment to supporting vulnerable residents and ensuring organizations like Hedwig House have the tools needed to continue their work.
Hedwig House leadership said the grant will strengthen its programs by enhancing rehabilitation services, expanding community connections and continuing health and wellness initiatives for its members.
The nonprofit operates locations in Lansdale and Abington and provides support aimed at helping individuals achieve stability, independence and a higher quality of life.
