This North Penn High School musical will be so fetch!

Tickets are on sale now for “Mean Girls,” the upcoming new PG-13 musical from North Penn High School’s Theatre and Thespian Troupe 5464.

The production is based on the 2004 movie, written by Tina Fey. Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois.

To survive as a naïve newbie and rise to the top of the popularity pecking order, Cady must take on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming, but ruthless, Regina George.

When Cady and her friends devise a “Revenge Party” to end Regina’s reign, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a queen bee without getting stung.

According to the school district, “Mean Girls” reinvents the high school experience for a modern audience, asking us “How should we treat not just our friends, but our enemies?”

With book by Tina Fey, music by Jeff Richmond (Fey’s husband and SNL music director), and lyrics by Neil Benjamin, you do not want to miss out on this show.

Due to ongoing construction at North Penn High School, seating is limited. (Sorry, no special tickets to sit with The Plastics.) And, don't worry if you don't even go to North Penn, everyone is welcome.

Performances: April 30, May 1, and May 2 at 7 p.m., and May 3 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.

The Gold Card show will be April 29 at 3:30 p.m. for all Gold Card holders. Please note that the Gold Card showtime is different from previous years.

If you are a North Penn School District resident age 60 or better and want to learn more about the Gold Card program, please call 215-853-1029.
