North Montco Technical Career Center is seeking experienced commercial drivers to join its CDL training program as part-time instructors, with weekend positions currently available.
The Lansdale-based career center is looking for seasoned CDL drivers interested in teaching the next generation of professional drivers through hands-on instruction. Instructors will work directly with students on core skills, including pre-trip inspections, basic vehicle control and on-the-road driving.
Officials said the positions are designed to appeal both to veteran drivers looking to give back to the industry and those seeking supplemental income through flexible, weekend-based work.
The role offers a competitive starting rate with opportunities for growth, along with eligibility for the Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System for those who work at least 500 hours annually.
Candidates must hold a valid Class A CDL, with preference given to those experienced with manual transmission.
Applicants are also required to have at least five years of documented driving experience, along with basic computer skills such as email and calendar use.
Strong communication and customer service abilities are also required, as instructors will be working closely with students throughout the training process.
Prospective instructors must also be able to obtain all required pre-employment clearances.
North Montco Tech said the program offers a supportive and professional work environment, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a high-demand field while helping to prepare future drivers for careers in transportation.
Interested applicants can submit a letter of application and resume to the Supervisor of Continuing Education and Workforce Development at North Montco Technical Career Center, 1265 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, PA 19446, or by email to [email protected].
