The call has gone out across the realm of North Penn: the district is now accepting nominations for its prestigious Class of 2026 Knights of Honor Program.

Nominations are due by Oct. 15, 2025. The ceremony will take place on March 12, 2026.

Just as squires once aspired to knighthood by proving their valor and service, the program seeks to recognize individuals whose deeds bring great honor to the North Penn School District community.

Alumni, educators, and community members who have distinguished themselves in their careers, service, or lasting contributions to the district may be nominated to join this order of modern-day Knights.

During the 2015-2016 school year, as part of the North Penn School District’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, the district introduced the Knights of Honor Program. It stands as one of North Penn’s most noble traditions, shining a light on those who exemplify the values of loyalty, service, and integrity.

Honorees are celebrated not only for their personal achievements, but for the way they inspire future generations of Knights within the district and “bring great honor to the NPSD community,” according to the district.

“The program is designed to recognize notable North Penn community members, former staff members, and alumni who have brought honor and outstanding service to the district,” according to a release.

Applications are now open, with the district encouraging residents to submit the names of worthy candidates. Nominees must have demonstrated a legacy that extends beyond individual success, strengthening the community and carrying the North Penn banner with pride.

As the district puts out this herald’s call, the search begins anew for those whose stories deserve to be enshrined in the annals of North Penn’s history — a reminder that the truest form of knighthood is measured not in armor, but in honor.

The most recent Knights of Honor inductees include Juan R. Baughn, Ed.D., former principal of North Penn High School ; Amaka Eneanya, M.D., MPH, NPHS Class of 1998 and Chief Transformation Officer for Emory Healthcare; Ted Heller, NPHS Class of 1982 and former NPHS Director of Bands; and Ken Weir, former NPSD Director of School and Community Relations.
