Gator’s Card Den is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 2 to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A new store is promising to become a pillar of the local trading card community.
Located at 105 N. Main Street, Unit E, Gator’s Card Den offers a wide variety of trading cards, from vintage to new releases. The store specializes in Pokemon cards but also offers Magic the Gathering, Yugioh and Alpha Clash cards.
“Anytime there’s a new release, rather than try to fight with people at Walmart and Target, they can come line up here,” said owner Jarrett Gellman at the store’s September 19 ribbon cutting ceremony. “And we do limits to make sure everyone can get some product.”

After rediscovering his passion in 2023, he struggled to find a quality local card shop and quickly took it upon himself to start selling.
He eventually linked up with multiple Pokemon card distributors, enabling him to expand his reach and cultivate a following. His success culminated in the opening of a brick-and-mortar store in Souderton.
“If there’s no good place around here, I feel like I can be that go-to place,” said Gellman. “My goal was always to open up a store. I wasn’t expecting it this soon, but it was just a great opportunity.”
Gator’s Card Den officially opened on September 14. Gellman described business as steady.
“Opening day, there was a line out the door. It was almost too many people, but that’s a great problem to have,” said Gellman. “Each day, there’s still a constant flow of customers coming in.”
Pack prices vary from $5 to $30, while card prices range from $0.25 to $10, with a few rarer cards costing between $50 and $700. Gellman stresses that prices are below market value.
“My prices are always lower than most places,” said Gellman. “I make sure I’m at least 10-20% below market.”
Gator’s Card Den specializes in Pokemon cards but also offers Magic the Gathering, Yugioh and Alpha Blast cards.In addition to selling trading cards, the store was recently approved as a Pokemon play center, with plans for weekly events. Gellman says the approval will help fill the void of local play centers.
“One thing I was frustrated with as a Pokemon collector is that the closest place to actually go play at official Pokemon events was in Blue Bell, so not necessarily close to here,” said Gellman, adding, “We’ll have kids’ nights, trade nights, and our tables are also open for anybody to come and play a game.”
Moving forward, Gellman, a Souderton resident since 2020, hopes to become a fixture in the local community, nestled in the heart of Souderton’s growing downtown.
“I’m right down the road, so this place is perfect. I can walk here,” said Gellman. “I just love seeing this town grow. We have multiple businesses opening up on Main Street that weren’t here when I moved in, so I’m happy to be part of the ever-growing Souderton Main Street.”
