Nighttime commuting on Main Street and Welsh Road through Lansdale, Upper Gwynedd and Montgomery Township will become a bit more hectic starting Monday.
A PennDOT-led milling and paving project will take place in the evenings for the next four to six weeks between Valley Forge Road in Lansdale Borough and Route 202 in Montgomery Township.
Work will begin on Main Street at 7 p.m. through 5 a.m. to reduce disruption to daytime traffic, Lansdale Borough said in an announcement on Facebook this week.
During the construction period, there will be no detours or road closures. However, lane restrictions and flagging will be in place to manage traffic.
PennDOT has not ruled out daytime traffic disruption: Any daytime work would include road base repairs and utility structure replacement. These repairs may cause some daytime delays in traffic, PennDOT said.
All work is weather dependent.
