Pennsylvania State Police have announced a sobriety checkpoint at the end of the week.
The checkpoint is scheduled for Friday at 11 p.m. to Saturday at 3 a.m. on Gravel Pike (Route 29), east of Plank Road, in Perkiomen Township, police said.
The goal of the checkpoint, police said, is to identify and remove impaired, drunk and drugged drivers from the road, in order to provide travelers with safe transit in the county.
