The North Penn Squires 5th Grade tackle football team has officially secured a spot in the Inter County Football League playoffs, marking a tremendous milestone for the program and a season to remember for players, coaches, and families alike.

After a challenging 2024 season, the Squires entered this year with determination and a renewed focus. Under the leadership of Head Coach and Squires President Chris Patton, the team has shown remarkable growth and resilience — transforming into one of the league’s standout squads.

“This group never gave up,” said Coach Patton. “They’ve worked hard all season long, trusted the process, and believed in each other. To see their effort pay off with a playoff spot is an incredible accomplishment.”

That dedication has been on full display in recent weeks as the Squires continued to compete with intensity and heart.

Parents and coaches alike have been inspired by the players’ perseverance — especially stories like that of Anthony Clark, who fractured his arm early in the season but fought his way back to become a key contributor, even scoring a touchdown in the team’s most recent game.

Standout performances have also helped fuel the Squires’ playoff run. Jaxson Patton scored a touchdown in the team’s most recent win over Perkiomen Valley, while Clark added two touchdowns and Max Coleman scored another. The team’s success has also been anchored by strong play from lineman Nicholas Montmore, quarterback Marco Kemper and Joey Valerio, who has recorded multiple sacks throughout the season and been a dominant presence on defense.

“We’re so proud of these boys,” said Justine Krasnisky, wife of Assistant Coach Anthony Clark and mother of the young standout. “They’ve faced setbacks, supported each other, and come out stronger. Seeing them make the playoffs after how far they’ve come is just incredible.”

The North Penn Squires 5th Grade team will face Spring-Ford in the first round of the ICFL Playoffs on Saturday at noon at Spring-Ford High School. The Squires will look to continue their momentum and represent North Penn with pride, teamwork, and the determination that has defined their season.

The 5th Grade coaching staff includes Head Coach Chris Patton and Assistant Coaches Clark, Joe Valerio, Sean McCloskey, and Mike Stokes.
