Driver knocks down light pole in Lansdale, leaves scene Saturday night

The driver of a black Cadillac SUV hit a light pole on Main Street at South Towamencin Avenue in Lansdale Borough late Saturday night, eventually being detained by police on Susquehanna Avenue. 

Shortly after 11 p.m., the driver hit the pole, bringing power lines down across the roadway, according to reports from the scene. 

Police detained the driver near the North Penn Boys and Girls Club. Charges are unknown at this time.
