Stray Cat Blues brings adoptable felines to Souderton with movie pairings, themed drinks, and a cat-tree raffle
If your weekend plans need a little whisker magic, the Broad Theater is turning into a mini cat café this Sunday.
From noon to 3 p.m., Stray Cat Blues will set up an adoption lounge at 24 W. Broad St., inviting you to come "meow-t" and meet a squad of charming cats and kittens looking for homes.
Expect cuddle breaks, head boops, and plenty of photo ops — plus a merch table stocked with purr-fect souvenirs and a raffle for a cat tree.
Broad is leaning into the theme with cat-inspired cocktails at the bar, so you can sip something whisker-worthy while you meet your future roommate.
Make an afternoon of it: Scout the adoption area first, then slide right into a show (or see the show first, then adopt). Sunday’s lineup includes “The Black Phone 2” (1:45, 4:45, 7:30 p.m.), “Misery” (1:30 p.m.), and “Roofman” (10:45 a.m., 1 p.m.) for thriller fans; “Tron: Ares” (10:30 a.m., 4:15, 7:15 p.m.) for the sci-fi crowd; and a Studio Ghibli treat with “Spirited Away” (4 and 7:05 p.m.).
Arrive on the early side if you have a specific film in mind; adoption browsing pairs nicely with the early shows of “Roofman” or “Tron: Ares,” and you can toast your new best friend afterward. Even if you are just window-shopping, every scratch behind the ears helps socialize the cats — and every share, donation, or purchase supports local rescue work.
Adoptions run noon to 3 p.m. at the Broad Theater, 24 W. Broad St., Souderton.
Bring your questions, your big heart, and maybe a lint roller.
