Montgomery County emergency dispatch reported a related shooting in Bridgeport, minutes after the Wawa shooting
West Norriton authorities are investigating a reported shooting involving two rival motorcycle gangs Friday night at the Wawa at 2540 W. Main St. in West Norriton, near the border of Lower Providence Township, in which six people were injured.
In a Facebook statement Friday night, West Norriton Police said six people suffered injuries and have been transported to area hospitals for treatment.
At this time, the incident appears to be isolated and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The Montgomery County Detective Bureau is assisting in the investigation. The names of the gangs and the conditions of victims were not released by police.
Police told residents Friday night there was no public threat.

According to Montgomery County emergency dispatch notes, an initial call for a shooting was reported at 9:12 p.m. at the gas pumps of the store near North Trooper Road. Ten minutes later, a follow-up call reported a group of motorcyclists had driven up to the pumps, opened fire, reportedly striking at least one person in the head, before fleeing on Egypt Road.
The male victim who was shot reportedly called for EMS, according to county dispatch notes, with Lower Providence EMS responding. Medical helicopters were put on alert, but were told to remain grounded, as victims were taken by ambulance and ALS.
Then, at 9:25 p.m., several gunshot victims were reported in Bridgeport at 908 Dekalb Street near West 9th Street and Crooked Lane.
Dispatch reported the shooting was related to the West Norriton call.
At the West Norriton scene, investigators were processing the area and looking for spent casings in the parking lot.
West Norriton Fire also assisted at the scene, as did East Norriton Police.
