Elected officials and drag artists from around the Commonwealth will join together on Saturday at Harper & Penny’s/Round Guys to celebrate National Coming Out Day in a block party-style event.
Produced and hosted by Lansdale Drag Queen Kali Coutour, of Lansdale, the 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. event will feature guest speakers such as Pennsylvania State Senator Maria Collett, Pennsylvania State Representative Steve Malagari, out-and-proud Phoenixville Mayor Peter Urscheler, and Lansdale Mayor Garry Herbert.
This event was created to ensure a safe space for those in and of support to the LGBTQ+ community of Montgomery County to show visibility, love, and community.
"We're here, we're queer, and we've existed for years. What this country needs now more than ever is love and kindness, and this event is going to be surrounded by those commitments,” Coutour said.
The event will be proudly benefiting the Rainbow Alliance based in Northeastern Pennsylvania. This organization creates a plethora of LGBTQ+ friendly events year-round, is the founder of the Be Kind campaign, distributes free educational resources, and works with individuals of the community to seek assistance with mental health resources.
Tickets for Lansdale Outfest can be purchased at www.kalicoutour.com or at the event. VIP seating is $75 and includes admission for five people, table for the group included. General seating is $15 first-come first-serve seating for one person. Event seating starts at 5:30 p.m.
Entertainers include Heavens2Betsy Stratton, Enigma, Rosey Hart, Oliver Twist, and Felicia Puss Puss RondaJambe.
