Jefferson Lansdale Hospital was recognized statewide by the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania for outstanding performance in patient safety.
The Hatfield Township hospital shares the honor with Jefferson Frankford Hospital and Lehigh Valley Hospital–Schuylkill, according to a news release.
The program honors the top-performing hospitals across the state that have demonstrated low rates of health care-associated infections.
Top-performing hospitals like Jefferson Lansdale are identified using data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Healthcare Safety Network.
All in all the three Jefferson hospitals were three of 22 hospitals across Pennsylvania given the top honor by the association.
