Four vintage homes and one house of worship, all in Lansdale Borough, will be decked out for the holidays and open for tours on Sunday, December 7, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., brought to you by the Lansdale Historical Society.
The Holiday House Tour is being dedicated to the memory of Margie Booz, who was instrumental in starting and keeping the original Lansdale Historical Society house tours going for many years.
This is a ticketed, self-guided event that begins at the Jenkins Homestead, 137 Jenkins Avenue.
Ticketholders will pick up a program and map, and a wristband for admittance into each location.

Participants can tour the Homestead, and then tour others in any order.
After the tour, restaurants wil offer specials for those wearing a wristband. Participating restaurants are listed in the program.
The Jenkins Homestead was built between the 1770s and 1790s in the Federalist style. It is home to Lansdale Historical Society and Research Center.
Other sites on the Holiday House Tour include: a 1930s restored twin home on East Seventh Street; an 1890s updated brick townhouse on North Richardson Avenue, that retains many original architectural features; a 1790s farmhouse on West Hancock Street, expanded with a contemporary addition; and First Baptist Church on North Broad Street with its inspirational organ and ornate stained-glass windows.

Tickets are on sale now on-site at Lansdale Historical Society, 137 Jenkins Avenue, online at www.lansdalehistoricalsociety.org. Contact (215) 855-1872 or email [email protected].
Please note that the homes on the tour are more than 90 years old and may have uneven floors or stairs which may limit access to individuals with mobility issues. ADA compatible restrooms are available at the Lansdale Historical Society and at First Baptist Church.
