Centenarian Betsy Ichihara honored by residents, staff and friends
Elm Terrace Gardens celebrated a remarkable milestone last week as long-time resident Betsy Ichihara turned 103 years old.
Residents, staff, and friends gathered in the community’s Main Dining Room for a joyful celebration filled with good food, warm conversation, and plenty of smiles. State Rep. Steve Malagari stopped by to personally wish Betsy a happy birthday and congratulate her on reaching this extraordinary milestone. His visit was a meaningful honor for Betsy and the Elm Terrace Gardens community.
“Betsy is truly a cherished member of our Elm Terrace family,” said Elm Terrace Gardens leadership. “Her kindness, wisdom, and joyful spirit bring so much warmth to our community. Celebrating 103 years of her life is a privilege.” Betsy enjoyed a beautiful celebration surrounded by friends and staff who were eager to honor her life, stories, and contributions to the community.
