Marlborough Township Police in Montgomery County are investigating a reported shooting of a woman that left her with non-life-threatening injuries Sunday afternoon on Zepp Road.
According to Montgomery County emergency dispatch reports, at 1:06 p.m., law enforcement and medical personnel, including Pennsylvania State Police, were dispatched to a report of a shooting on the 1100 block of Zepp Road, near Hill and Rostkowski roads, in which a 56-year-old woman was shot in the head, but was conscious and alert.
According to a dispatch supervisor, the shooting was considered accidental. Police had received reports of people shooting with rifles at a nearby property.
As of 1:19 p.m., all units were recalled from the scene.
According to EMS radio traffic, Upper Perkiomen Valley Ambulance transported the patient with non-life-threatening injuries to St. Luke's-Upper Bucks in Quakertown, who refused the patient, prompting EMS to transport the patient to Grand View Hospital.
