Resul Mustafa Ozdemir, of the 1000 block of Pinegrove Avenue, Hatfield Township, admitted to assaulting four victims between 2013 and 2022 in Lower Providence, Pottstown, and Upper Merion
A Hatfield man residing alongside Oak Park Elementary School was sentenced to 7 to 14 years in state prison for having sex with four minors between 2013 and 2022 in Lower Providence, Pottstown, and Upper Merion Township, and must register as a Tier III registered sex offender for life.
Resul Mustafa Ozdemir, 26, of the 1000 block of Pinegrove Avenue, was also ordered to complete three years of probation after his prison term by Montgomery County Common Pleas Judge Risa Vetri Ferman.
All other charges were dismissed by prosecutors at his plea hearing, according to court records.
Ozdemir pleaded guilty to felony charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child and three counts of indecent assault on a person less than 13 years old.
He faced up to 40 years in state prison on the involuntary deviate sexual intercourse charge and up to seven years on each indecent assault charge.

Ozdemir was also charged with six misdemeanor counts each of indecent assault by force and indecent assault with threat of force, and 12 felony counts of indecent assault of a person under 13, according to court records. Furthermore, 12 misdemeanor counts of indecent assault without consent and indecent assault of a person under 13, according to court documents.
Lower Providence Township detectives said the assaults occurred between 2013 and 2022 on Chaise Lane in Lower Providence Township, at a residence in Pottstown, and at locations in Upper Merion Township, New Hanover Township, and Upper Providence Township.
When the rapes began, Ozdemir, a Methacton High School graduate, was 15 years old, police said.
Ozdemir had been jailed at Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $500,000 cash bail since November 2024. He was represented by Norristown public defender Eric Donato.
Ozdemir is also ordered not to have contact with the victims or any minors and must undergo a psychosexual evaluation, per court documents. He is not eligible for short sentence parole or state drug treatment or boot camp.
