No one was injured following a 2-car crash at East Main and North Line streets Wednesday evening in Lansdale Borough, but it did however affect rush hour traffic around the intersection.

The 5:50 p.m. accident involved a black SUV and a red Kia sedan, with both vehicles sustaining heavy front-end damage. The Kia came to a rest after crashing into and knocking down a light pole at the corner of the Memorial Park property.

Initial reports came in describing two children were trapped in one of the vehicles, but all occupants were able to escape out of the vehicles on their own.

VMSC Emergency Medical Services, Lansdale Police and Fairmount Fire Co. of Lansdale responded to the scene.
