The North Penn Marching Knights even collected non-perishable food donations at their Community Knight Show on Nov. 10
The North Penn High School Marching Knights drum line performed at the Preston & Steve Camp Out for Hunger on Wednesday morning on 93.3FM WMMR.
Camp Out for Hunger began in 1998 and is the largest single-site food drive in the country. The event raises money and donations for Philabundance, a nonprofit providing food to Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. In 2024, Camp Out for Hunger raised $995,710 and collected 1,661,016 pounds of food, the school district said.
The North Penn Marching Knights even collected non-perishable food donations at their Community Knight Show on Nov. 10. Items collected were brought with them to Camp Out for Hunger.
The district said the performance concluded a winning season for the Marching Knights: The group earned a Bronze Medal at the USBands Open Class National Championships with a score of 95.1 for their show "By the Sword."
Additionally, the Marching Knights earned third place at the PA State Championships where the color guard was named Best Color Guard in their class for the state of Pennsylvania. the district said.
