A preliminary hearing for a Lansdale man accused of attempted first-degree murder, felony aggravated assault and additional misdemeanor charges was moved from this last week to June 18.
Joshua Ronan, 30, of Lansdale, is accused of assaulting Mark Christopher Miller on Nov. 5, 2024, on Cabin Run Road in Hatfield Township.
Hatfield Police received a call around 11 p.m. and responded to a residence to find Miller unresponsive in the driveway with blunt force trauma to his head, authorities allege.
Before police arrived, Ronan was driven to his house by one of the residents. Detectives recovered a brick wrapped in a balaclava mask on the floor of the vehicle where Ronan had been sitting, police said.
The brick matches the injuries suffered by the victim, authorities allege.
Ronan is also charged with misdemeanor reckless endangerment, simple assault and possessing an instrument of crime, according to court documents.
Ronan remains incarcerated on bail at $500,077 cash bail, which includes a probation detainer. He is represented by attorney NIcholas Beeson of West Chester.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
