A lifelong resident of the area and North Penn High School alum, Schoen has been on the GHNPSS Board of Directors for nearly 35 years
Greater Harleysville and North Penn Senior Services (GHNPSS) will honor community advocate and longtime GHNPSS board member Bob Schoen as its 2025 Pillar of the Community.
The fundraising event recognizes one local individual who shares in GHNPSS’s commitment to making positive contributions within the region. It will also be part of the center’s 50th anniversary celebration, said a GHNPSS press release.
A lifelong resident of the area and North Penn High School alum, Schoen has been on the GHNPSS Board of Directors for nearly 35 years, serving as both president and treasurer. He has also served as president of the Board of Directors of The Indian Valley Public Library and The Indian Valley Chamber of Commerce. He was additionally an Indian Valley Kiwanis Club member for many years.
Schoen and his wife, Deb, raised their two children in Harleysville. Schoen credits his wife for encouraging and partnering with him in championing local community organizations, said the release.
The event will be held at The Pavilion at Mainland Golf Course in Harleysville on June 11 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. GHNPSS is encouraging community members to contribute through a sponsorship or advertisement for the event.
