Hatfield Police are asking residents to check home camera footage for sounds of sirens to pinpoint a time of the incident

Hatfield Police are busy investigating a mystery police chase involving a black sedan and a police vehicle that damaged the Twin Woods Golf Course along E. Orvilla Road Tuesday afternoon.

Police said a resident witnessed, between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., a black sedan traveling west on Orvilla Road, away from Route 309, that suddenly turned onto the golf course property.

The sedan drove across and damaged the lawn area, before exiting back out onto East Orvilla Road, heading westbound, police said.

Meanwhile, a police vehicle – believed to be a Pennsylvania State Police by at least one witness –  was following behind the sedan, with its lights and siren activated, police said.

Police are attempting to identify the sedan, its driver, and the police vehicle. Hatfield Police said it was not one of theirs and it was not from any local departments.

Residents of Orvilla Road near Twin Woods Golf Course are asked to check their home surveillance cameras for any footage of the event, specifically if a siren was heard, in order to help pinpoint a time of the incident, police said.

There were no injuries, police said.
