Nonprofit York Avenue Home & School Association holding 'Caffeinate & Donate' weekend fundraiser at Backyard Beans

York Avenue Elementary Home & School is holding a special “Caffeinate & Donate” event all weekend at Backyard Beans Coffee Company in Lansdale.

From Friday through Sunday, shoppers can tell the cashier they want a part of their order to go toward the North Penn School District elementary school.

Each customer has the chance to donate 10% of each sale to the Home & School Association.

Backyard Beans is located at 408 W. Main St.

York Avenue Elementary School is comprised of about 200 students and 25 teachers and faculty, with most of the students residing in the West Ward community of the borough.

Home & School Associations in the North Penn School District are nonprofit organizations committed to enhancing students, staff, teachers, and families of their respective elementary and middle school. 

Parents and teachers volunteer their time to plan and organize fundraising, social, educational, and fun events for students monthly.

At present, Backyard Beans Coffee Co. has a special menu for Spring.

• Horchata Sweet Cream Cold Brew – Backyard Beans’ Punch in the Face cold brew over ice, topped with an Horchata inspired sweet cream, and a dusting of cinnamon. ⁠
  
  
• Rosemary Mint Latte – Sweet mint and aromatic rosemary syrups seamlessly accompany Backyard Beans’ house espresso and steamed milk
  
  
• Sweet Peony Iced Tea –- Light and floral peonies steeped and chilled over ice with a garnish of house-made sweet cream
  
  
• Cherry Blossom Latte – A latte featuring house-made cherry blossom syrup, where cherry, rose water, and a green tea infusion combine to add subtle floral sweetness to espresso and milk.

Backyard Beans also has a new roast from Ethiopia – Buncho Honey. Backyard Beans has sourced honey-processed coffees from Daye Bensa since 2022.
