All three North Penn middle school principals will host a 7th Grade Parent Information Night and Course Selection Review for current sixth grade parents and students on Wednesday, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at their respective home middle schools: Penndale, Pennfield and Pennbrook.

Parents were notified of the event exclusively via the School Messenger App earlier in March, and principals sent emails and posted the event in middle school newsletters. Students also brought home letters in January.

"It is our pleasure to offer this first official welcome to you and your student to Middle School. A smooth transition to middle school is of utmost importance to us, as I am sure you will agree," stated Penndale Middle School Principal Dr. Stefan Muller, Pennbrook Middle School Principal Dr. Nick Taylor, and Pennfield Middle School Principal Dr. Sean O'Sullivan in a joint statement released March 4 on the App.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. From then until 6:55 p.m., visitors are asked to drop off belongings in the school auditorium and take a self-guided tour of the building and visit a few classrooms.

Throughout the building, each school will have student ambassadors available to answer questions.

"We understand the importance of a strong beginning and will do whatever we can to ensure you and your child feel comfortable and ready to begin the next chapter in their educational career," the principals said.

At 7 p.m. in the school auditorium, each middle school principal, assistant principals, and 7th grade guidance counselors will meet with parents. After introductions, school officials will provide an overview of 7th grade course offerings, as well as review the course selection process.

"We know the course selection process is something new for many families and we want to take time explaining this, so that you and your child have a better understanding of these new expectations," said the principals.

All middle schools are grades seven through nine (freshman).
