1 injured after van driver crashes into utility pole on Route 309 North Tuesday morning

A driver of a blue Ford panel van with New Jersey registration was injured and transported from the scene of a one-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Hatfield Township, after he collided with a utility pole at Route 309 North and Trewigtown Road. 

Initial Montgomery County emergency dispatch reported the call as a cardiac arrest at 9:42 a.m., before being upgraded to an accident near Royal Farms. The collision left the male driver unconscious and bleeding from the nose, per dispatch reports.

Hatfield Police was assisted at the scene by VMSC Emergency Medical Services, Colmar Fire Co., Hatfield Fire Co., Fire Department of Montgomery Township, Colmar Fire Police, Hatfield Fire Police, and Montgomery Township Fire Police.

The scene was cleared by 10:30 a.m.
