The accident occurred Saturday afternoon in front of St. John's United Church of Christ in Lansdale
Lansdale Borough Police said the two-vehicle accident that sent three people to area hospitals Saturday afternoon remains under investigation.
Police said the accident occurred at 1:11 p.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ at 500 W. Main St., where a black Range Rover struck the front stairs of the church.
Before colliding with the church, the Range Rover hit a silver GMC Sierra, which was eastbound on West Main Street, police said.
The impact caused disabling damage to the GMC, police said.
Both occupants of the GMC – residents of Derstine Avenue in Lansdale Borough – were taken to Lansdale Hospital to be assessed for non-life-threatening injuries, police said, and are now safely home and uninjured.
The driver of the Range Rover was taken by VMSC Emergency Medical Services to Grand View Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Their name and condition was not released.
Lansdale Borough Police were assisted by Towamencin Police and VMSC EMS.
