A Telford Borough man has been charged with aggravated assault and misdemeanor charges of attempted assault and recklessly endangering another person for allegedly beating a 16-year-old girl in the face and bashing her head onto the sidewalk, causing lacerations.

Cameron Ricardo Brown, 18, of the 100 block of North Third Street, was arrested Feb. 28 by Telford Police for the alleged assault.

At 6:52 p.m. Feb. 28, a victim reported to police that she was bleeding from the face, was punched in her face, and her head was bashed onto the sidewalk, according to the affidavit.

Upon arrival on scene, police found the teenage victim leaning against a shed, crying and bleeding from the right side of her face, above her right eye, police said. A 2-cm laceration caused blood to drip down her face and neck onto her shirt, police said.

The victim told police that Brown punched her in the face multiple times, after which she hit the ground and “everything went black,” according to the complaint. After Brown ran off, the victim called 911, police said.

After Brown allegedly began assaulting the victim, she screamed for her friend, who was waiting down the street.

Emergency medical services arrived on scene to assess the victim’s injuries. Police said, while in the ambulance, the victim said Brown put his hand around her neck and said “he was going to f------ murder me” before punching her three or four times.

Police said the victim had bruises and red marks on her right arm and under her shoulder, as well as scrapes on her upper back and neck, on both hands, on both knees and on her forehead.

Authorities said Brown and his mother arrived at the Telford Borough Police Department to report an assault. At the station’s lot, police met with Brown and he was asked what happened, police said. Brown, police allege, was hesitant to speak, and then said the victim and him got into a fight.

Brown was taken into custody for the  assault and taken to Montgomery County jail for processing, per the affidavit.

A nurse at Grand View Hospital told police the victim needed a CT scan and will require stitches for the laceration, police said.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
