Experience the artistic brilliance of local students as Souderton Area School District showcases hundreds of student works at Indian Valley Public Library and other local galleries this March
Souderton Area School District invites the public to celebrate Youth Art month at several exhibits. The annual Youth Art Month Exhibit at the Indian Valley Public Library is open from March 4-31, 2025. Hundreds of pieces of student artwork from kindergarten through grade 12 reveal the artistic achievements of the students as a result of SASD’s commitment to providing every student with a quality visual arts education.
"IVPL is proud to host the annual SASD Art Exhibit because it showcases the creativity and talent of students, fostering a sense of community pride. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate local young artists and inspire others with their unique expressions. The vibrant display of artwork also brings people together, offering a chance to appreciate the diverse perspectives and imagination of the next generation," said Tracey Reed, Director of the Indian Valley Public Library.
The show displays a wide range of 2D, 3D, and digital artworks. Viewers will notice connections to the natural world, history, literature, pop culture, and topics meaningful to the students. Berdine Leinbach, art educator at Salford Hills said, "The creating process is joyful and invites students to notice things, wonder what if., apply new skills with media , problem solve, innovate, evaluate, and create meaning. Lots of deep thinking happens to make this art possible."
Having artwork selected to be in this show is a high honor and comes with an invitation to the artists reception on March 13 which is open to the public.
In addition, high school students have artwork on exhibit with three different community events. Eight high school students have artwork showcased at the 11th Annual Tri-county High School Art Exhibition. Visitors can view the incredible student work at the North Hall Gallery at the Pottstown Campus of Montgomery County Community College before the exhibit closes March 7.
Eleven pieces of Souderton Area High School student work are also featured in the “PSEA Touch the Future” student art exhibit at Montgomery County Community College’s Fine Arts Center Gallery on the Blue Bell Campus. This professionally juried exhibit features art from Bucks and Montgomery County public high school students.
The exhibit is open March 3-7 and March 17-27 and is sponsored by the Mideastern Region of the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA) and the Council for the Advancement of Public Schools (CAPS). Come be inspired.
Finally, Souderton Area High School will have nine students represented at the 30th Annual Bucks County Art Exhibition. The opening reception will be held March 30 and is open to April 12 at Hicks Art Center Galleries, Bucks County Community College.
Enjoy these opportunities to be together in community and support the arts!
