Montgomery Township residents can now pick up free "No Soliciting" window clings at the Police Department to help deter unwanted door-to-door solicitations. The clings, which can be placed on a front door or window, are designed to signal to solicitors that their visit is not welcome.
Available at the police lobby window, the clings can be obtained at any time and are part of the township's effort to give residents more control over solicitation at their homes.
In addition to the clings, residents may also add their address to the township’s “Do Not Solicit List.”
Registration can be completed in person at the Police Department or online at this link.
When a solicitor or organization applies for a permit through the department, they are provided with an updated version of the Do Not Solicit List. Only residential addresses are shared with solicitors — no personal details such as names, phone numbers, or email addresses are disclosed.
