Emergency crews responded to the 200 block of Shirley Drive in Lower Salford Township at approximately 1:51 p.m. Monday for a report of a kitchen fire with "heavy smoke", according to Montgomery County Dispatch.


A resident who lives on the second floor of the duplex was cooking on a stove top when "everything caught fire" early Monday afternoon, according to reports.
Multiple people evacuated the dwelling and waited outside as emergency responders arrived on scene. People from the surrounding units evacuated their residences as well, according to reports.
No injuries were reported.
Emergency crews from Freedom Valley Medical Rescue, Harleysville Fire Company, Perkiomen Township Fire Company, Towamencin Fire Company, Upper Salford Fire Company, Skippack Fire Company, and others responded to the scene.
