Lansdale Police congratulated the fifth-grade classes at York Avenue Elementary School Friday afternoon for completion of the department's DARE Program.

Led by Sgt. Kruppenbach, the students learned valuable lessons about making safe and responsible choices, police said.

To celebrate their hard work, the class received a special police escort as students walked from school to the Lansdale Police Department, where they enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of the station.

"We’re incredibly proud of these young graduates and excited to see them continue making positive choices. Great job, York Ave 5th graders," police said.
