Volunteer department to host its first-ever “His & Hers Bingo” while teaming up with Pampered Chef for a virtual fundraising campaign
Fairmount Fire Company of Lansdale is turning up the heat over the next two months — featuring a night of fun, food, and fundraising all aimed at supporting the borough’s dedicated team of volunteer firefighters.
The company recently announced two community-focused events: a brand-new “His & Hers Bingo Night” set for Friday, Sept. 26, and an online Pampered Chef fundraiser that kicks off this week.
First-ever bingo night coming in September
Dubbed “His & Hers Bingo Night,” the event will mark the department’s first time hosting such an affair. The game night will take place at the Fairmount firehouse and promises an evening full of prizes, laughs, and camaraderie. More details are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Organizers said they are excited to launch this new event and hope it becomes a popular tradition that brings residents together to support their local fire company.
Online kitchen fundraiser now underway
Meanwhile, Fairmount Fire Company has partnered with Pampered Chef consultant Wendy Wolpert to host a virtual shopping fundraiser that runs from Friday through Sunday, Aug. 24.
All purchases will be made online and shipped directly to customers. A portion of the proceeds will be donated back to the fire company in the form of a cash contribution.
The fundraiser features everything from high-quality kitchen tools and gadgets to meal prep solutions and gift ideas.
The department stressed that all funds raised will help sustain its 100 percent volunteer operation, which continues to serve and protect Lansdale around the clock.
