Tigh Davi Richardson, of the 1600 block of Forest Hills Drive, Hatfield Township, committed the indecent assault on East Main Street
A Hatfield Township man was sentenced to 11½ to 23 months in Montgomery County jail after pleading guilty in April to a misdemeanor indecent assault charge stemming from an April 2023 incident with an underage girl in Lansdale Borough.
Tigh Davi Richardson, 26, of the 1600 block of Forest Hills Drive, admitted in court to touching the juvenile without her consent for his sexual gratification, with the victim only being 15 at the time, according to Assistant District Attorney Bradley Walter Deckel in a report by The Mercury.
He must also report his address for 15 years to the state police as part of the state’s Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act, previously known as Megan’s Law.
“This is a case where a juvenile was harmed, who was placed in a dangerous situation because of the defendant. He was the adult in the room and he should not have put her in that situation. So a period of incarceration is appropriate,” Assistant District Attorney Bradley Walter Deckel said in April, according to The Mercury.
Richardson molested the girl while he visited her residence on East Main Street. His plea agreement, per the report, included sex offender supervision while incarcerated.
Police said a 15-year-old girl reported Richardson had indecent contact with her on April 3, 2023, in which he woke her up in the middle of the night by touching her in an indecent manner without her consent.
Afterward, he texted the victim and she told him she was reporting him to police. He then asked her not to contact police, stating he knew he “f------ up, please believe me.”
