A landscaping trailer with equipment, attached to a white Cadillac SUV, was engulfed in flames Thursday afternoon along the 100 block of Oakland Avenue in Lansdale Borough, sending a smoke header into the air visible from Franconia Township. 

The fully-involved fire was reported at 1:30 p.m. at 108 Oakland Ave., near Laurel Lane and Wissahickon Avenue, behind Hillcrest Shopping Center. The SUV has sustained major fire damage to its rear in the blaze.

Lansdale Police are assisted by Fairmount Fire Co. and Fairmount Fire Police. 

Oakland is closed between Laurel Lane and Wissahickon Avenue. No reported injuries.
