A one-car crash, involving one man who was handcuffed at the scene by Upper Gwynedd Police and later transported by EMS, resulted in the partial closure of the 100 block of Hancock Road in Upper Gwynedd Township by Gwyn-Nor Elementary School and Pennbrook Middle School Thursday afternoon.
Around 3:45 p.m., police, Upper Gwynedd Fire, North Penn Vol. Fire Co. and VMSC Emergency Medical Services responded to the crash involving a red Dodge Journey.
The car sustained severe front-end damage in the crash; rescuers had to remove the rear passenger side door in the incident.
Skidmarks were visible on the sidewalk and grassy areas along Hancock Street.
At least two street signs were demolished in the crash, and a utility pole sustained damage near its base.
Hancock Street is closed between Marlyn's Lane and Sanctuary Court. Avoid the area.
