State Rep. Liz Hanbidge, D-Montgomery, on Tuesday announced that Lower Gwynedd and Towamencin townships have been selected to receive $77,200 in grant awards.
The funding comes from the Commonwealth Financing Agency and will be distributed as follows:
“These grants represent an investment in the safety and resilience of our communities,” Hanbidge said. “The Penllyn Neighborhood Flood Study will help Lower Gwynedd Township address critical flooding concerns, while Towamencin Township’s basin conversions will enhance stormwater management to protect homes and infrastructure. I’m proud to support these efforts to create a safer, more sustainable future for Montgomery County residents.”
Hanbidge added that any business, organization, or public entity seeking funding from a state program is encouraged to contact her office for help applying.
