The incident remains under investigation and police are seeking any witnesses with video footage of the accident.
Lansdale Police said a 30-year-old man from Florida who was behind the wheel of a Kia Optima that sideswiped a Honda Fit at the Main and Broad streets intersection Monday night was taken for treatment of suspected minor injuries by VMSC Emergency Medical Services to Grand View Hospital.
Police said they are seeking individuals or drivers with video footage of the accident, which occurred at 5:35 p.m. Contact Lansdale Police at 215-368-1801 with any video or details of the accident.
The car came to a rest on the sidewalk in front of 7 W. Main St., police said. The driver hit a gas meter out front of the business, and thus, nearby residents were evacuated Monday night while PECO monitored the air for gas leaks following damage to the meter, police said.
The scene was cleared by 8:33 p.m.
