The driver of a Ford Escape SUV crashing into the glass entrance of Montgomeryville medical marijuana dispensary Ethos Cannabis at 921 Bethlehem Pike Thursday afternoon has temporarily closed the medical facility for the safety of its patients and staff, as management makes decisions on how to keep the business running through the weekend.
At least one person is being treated on scene by VMSC Emergency Medical Services, per reports from the scene. It is unknown if the individual is a patient, pedestrian or driver.
The parking lot remains closed.
By James Short Fire Department of Montgomery Township and Montgomery Township Police are on scene.
Additional injuries are unknown at this time.
A representative at the dispensary said that the business will close early Thursday for safety of its clientele and staff, due to it being a medical facility. He said management is arriving on scene to determine a "quick fix" so operations can continue through the weekend.
In the meantime, other dispensaries in the area include Sunnyside and Ayr in Montgomery Township and Vytal Options in Towamencin.
