Pennsylvania Department of Education awards up to $85,000 to eligible CTCs to update or purchase equipment
Senator Maria Collett (D-12 Montgomery) is proud to announce $250,000 in Competitive Equipment Grant funding to benefit students at local career and technical centers (CTCs).
“Pennsylvania’s career and technical centers provide students with the tools, skills and hands-on training they need to confidently and successfully enter the workforce,” Senator Collett said. “I’m proud to support the CTCs serving my district and know these funds and upgrades will allow students to better compete in a number of in-demand industries – from nursing and firefighting to construction and engineering.”
Grant recipients serving the 12th Senate District:
Through the Competitive Equipment Grant program, Pennsylvania Department of Education awards up to $85,000 to eligible CTCs to update or purchase equipment used for approved career and technical education programs. In the most recent round of funding, the Department awarded $4.5 million to 58 career and technical centers and school districts across the Commonwealth.
